        0
The R380 gearbox is a five-speed, fully synchronized unit, installed together with a two-speed LT230T transfer case.

The gearbox housing consists of four parts: the front cover, the main housing, the intermediate plate and the additional rear housing.

The 1/2 and 3/4 gear engagement forks are located in the main housing, and the 5th gear and reverse gear engagement forks are located in the rear housing.

All gears rotate on needle bearings. The gearbox shafts are mounted on tapered roller bearings. The axial play of the secondary and intermediate shaft bearings is adjusted by selecting washers located in the intermediate plate.

The gears are lubricated by a built-in low-pressure oil pump; oil is supplied to the gearbox components through openings in the secondary shaft. The gearbox has a ventilation hole and a ventilation tube that runs into the engine compartment.
