Brake light switch (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the multi-pin electrical connector from the brake light switch.

2. Release the bayonet retainer from the brake light switch and remove the switch.

Installation

1. Replace the switch and secure the bayonet retainer.

2. Connect the multi-pin electrical connector to the brake light switch.

3. Press and hold the brake pedal.

4. Restore the switch to working order by pulling out the buffer completely.

5. Slowly release the brake pedal to save the switch adjustment settings.
