Crankshaft pulley (Discovery 1)

Removal and installation

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Drain the coolant.

3. Remove the upper radiator hose.

4. Remove the air hose between the charge air cooler and the intake manifold.

5. Remove the fan and viscous coupling (see "Cooling system").

6. Remove the fan diffuser.

7. Remove the accessory drive belt.

8. Secure the LRT-12-080 pulley retainer with four bolts.



9. Loosen the pulley mounting bolt.

10. Remove the pulley retainer.

11. Remove the pulley. You may need the LRT-12-049 puller with the LRT-12-031 pad.

12. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
