Oil receiver — removal and installation (Discovery 1)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Drain the engine oil.

3. Remove the oil pan.

4. Unscrew the oil receiver bracket bolts.

5. Unscrew the bolts of the oil receiver pipe flange.

6. Remove the oil receiver.

Installation

7. Install the oil receiver with a new sealing ring.

8. Apply Loctite 242E locking adhesive to the threads of the two main bearing cap mounting screws and tighten the screws to 9 Nm.

9. Tighten the pipe flange bolts to 25 Nm.

10. Install the oil pan.

11. Connect the battery.
