Removal



1. Remove the transfer case.

2. Drain the oil from the automatic transmission.

3. Unscrew the bolts securing the left support bracket to the regulator body and remove the bracket.

4. Loosen the bolts securing the transfer case shift lever housing and move the housing to the side.

5. Remove the regulator housing.

6. Unscrew the gearbox shaft mounting bolt and discard the sealing ring. On a diesel vehicle, remove the spacer.

7. Remove the regulator.

8. Remove the parking brake ratchet from the adjuster.

9. Disconnect the regulator box.

10. Remove the counterweight retainer and counterweight.

11. Remove the output shaft seal ring and the three clutch F seal rings. Discard the seals.

12. Wash the removed parts.

13. If necessary, remove the ratchet pawl and dismantle the parking brake mechanism.

14. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
