The test is carried out on a level road in good weather.

Check #1

Move the selector to position D, start from a standstill in kick-down mode.

1. Check the clutch operation (squealing and slipping). Pressure 10 bar.

2. Check the quality of shifting between 1st and 2nd gear. Pressure 8.6 bar.

3. Check the quality of shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear. Pressure 6.8 bar.

4. Close the throttle until 4th gear and the direct drive clutch are engaged simultaneously. The engine speed should drop by approximately 500 min⁻¹.

5. Close the throttle and check the speed when directly engaging 4th gear.

6. Check the speed value when switching 4-3 gear. (This is usually difficult to do).

7. Check the speed value when switching 3-2 gear.

8. Check the speed value when switching 2-1 gear. (This is usually difficult to do).

Check #2

Move the selector to position D, start from a standing start with full throttle.

9. Check the speed value when switching 1st-2nd gear.

10. Check the speed when shifting 2-3 gear.

11. Check the speed when shifting 3-4 gears and the speed when engaging the direct drive clutch (usually simultaneously with the inclusion of 4-1 gear).

Check #3

Move the selector to position D, start from a standstill with partial throttle.

12. Check the speed value when switching 1st-2nd gear.

13. Check the speed when shifting 2-3 gear.

14. Check the speed when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear (usually accompanied by a drop in engine speed of 200 min⁻¹).

15. Check the speed when the direct drive clutch is engaged, the engine speed should drop by 300 min⁻¹.

Note: at the border of the direct transmission mode (bypassing the torque converter) the drop in engine speed can reach up to 500 min⁻¹.

16. At a speed of approximately 88 km/h, press the kick-down button: 2nd gear should engage. Release the pedal: 4th gear should engage.

17. At a speed of approximately 128 km/h, press the kick-down button: 3rd gear should engage. Release the pedal: 4th gear should engage.

18. At a speed of approximately 138 km/h, move the selector to position "3": 3rd gear should be engaged. Release the pedal.

19. Reduce speed to 47 km/h and press kick-down: 1st gear should engage and acceleration to 3rd gear should begin.

20. At a speed of approximately 128 km/h, move the selector to position "2": there should be no gear shifting. Release the pedal.

21. At a speed of approximately 104 km/h, 2nd gear should be engaged. Continue slowing down.

22. At a speed of approximately 88 km/h, move the selector to position "1": there should be no gear shifting. Continue slowing down.

23. At a speed of approximately 45 km/h, 1st gear should be engaged. There will be no upshifting.
