Left engine mount (Discovery 3)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

2. Remove the turbocharger. For more information, refer to Turbocharger (19.42.01)

CAUTION: The engine must be protected during this operation.

Support the engine. Lift the engine off the left support.

4. Remove the engine mount.

• Unscrew the nut.
• Lift the engine off the left support.
• Remove two bolts and discard them.

Installation

1. Install the engine support.

• Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
• Screw in new bolts.
• Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 45 Nm), then another 60 degrees.

CAUTION: The engine must be protected during this operation.

Lower the engine onto the support.

3. Insert the engine mount mounting bolt. Tighten the nut. (tightening torque 90 Nm).

4. Install the turbocharger. For more information, refer to Turbocharger (19.42.01)

5. Connect the ground cable to the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.
