Right engine hydraulic support (Freelander 1)

Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the air intake hoses.

DIESEL ENGINE FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Air intake system ducts.


3. Remove the upper engine mount cross member.

ENGINE - Td4, Inlet and outlet camshafts, Upper right engine mount cross member.


4. Secure the hood in a vertical position.

5. Attach the rigging chains to the eyes and lift the engine to remove its weight from the supports.

6. Loosen the nut securing the right engine bracket to the hydraulic support.

7. Unscrew the four bolts securing the right support bracket to the engine.

8. Release the bracket from the pin and remove it from the engine.

9. Unscrew the bolt securing the power steering pipe to the body.

10. Using the LRT-12-169 tool, loosen and remove the hydraulic support.

Installation


1. Clean the mating surfaces of the hydraulic support and the body from dirt.

2. Tighten the hydraulic support. Tightening torque 85 Nm.

3. Position the power steering hose bracket to the installation location and tighten the nut to 10 Nm.

4. Wipe the engine mount bracket, engine mating surface, locating pin and hole for it.

5. Install the bracket on the pin and tighten the bolts to a torque of 100 Nm.

6. Lower the engine onto the support.

7. Disconnect the rigging chains.

8. Screw the engine bracket mounting nut onto the hydraulic support and tighten it. Tightening torque 85 Nm.

9. Install the upper engine mount cross member.

ENGINE - Td4, Inlet and outlet camshafts, Upper right engine mount cross member.


10. Install the inlet hoses.

DIESEL ENGINE FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Air intake system ducts.


11. Connect the negative battery terminal.

12. Untie the hood and close it.
