Direction of rotation of the distributor rotorClockwise


The ignition timing angle is controlled by an electronic control unit.

Make sure the ignition is off.

Check the direction of rotation of the high voltage distributor rotor and the firing order of the cylinders, Figure 13.

Check that the high voltage wires are connected correctly.

Connect the strobe light.

Disconnect the vacuum hose from the high voltage distributor.

Start the engine.

Let the engine idle.

Check the ignition advance angle figure 14.

Adjust the ignition timing by rotating the high voltage distributor.

Turn off the ignition.

Connect the vacuum hose to the high voltage distributor.

Connect the vacuum hose to the high voltage distributor.


Connect the vacuum hose to the high voltage distributor.
