Removal



1. Loosen the wheel nuts, lift the front of the vehicle and place stands under the axle. Remove the wheel.

2. Disconnect the brake hose clips, remove the brake caliper and hang it aside.

3. Remove the cap by prying it with a screwdriver.

4. Remove the retaining ring and adjusting washer from the drive shaft.

5. Unscrew the five drive coupling mounting bolts, remove the coupling and sealing washer.

6. Bend back the edges of the lock washer.

7. Unscrew the lock nut and remove the lock washer.

8. Loosen the adjusting nut.

9. Remove the spacer washer.

10. Remove the hub assembly with the brake disc.

Installation



11. Clean the hub seats and install the hub.

12. Install the spacer washer.

13. Tighten the adjusting nut to a torque of 61 Nm.

14. Loosen the nut 90 degrees and tighten to a torque of 4 Nm. The axial clearance in the hub bearings should now be 0.01 mm.



15. Install a new lock washer.

15. Install a new lock washer.


16. Tighten the lock nut to 61 N·m.

17. Bend the edges of the lock washer onto the face of the nut.

18. Install the new drive coupling sealing washer and coupling. Tighten the mounting bolts to 65 Nm.

19. Install the previously removed adjusting washer and drive shaft retaining ring.

20. To check the axial clearance of the drive shaft, install the indicator on the LRT-99-503 bracket on the shaft.

21. Screw a suitable bolt into the shaft hole. By moving the shaft by the bolt in both directions along the axis, measure the axial clearance. Normally, the gap should be within 0.08-0.25 mm.

22. If the gap is not equal to the specified one, replace the adjusting washer.

23. Unscrew the auxiliary bolt, install the hub cap.



24. Install the brake caliper, tighten the mounting bolts to a torque of 82 N·m.

25. Bleed the brake system.

26. Tighten the wheel nuts to a torque of 126 N·m.

27. Before driving, press the brake pedal to install the brake linings.
