Removal


1. To gain access, fully extend the steering column.

2. Remove the steering wheel. For more information, refer to Steering Wheel (57.61.01)

3. Remove the upper steering column cover. Release the four clamps.

3. Remove the upper steering column cover. Release the four clamps.


4. Remove the lower steering column cover.
  • Remove 3 Torx screws.
  • Release the steering column adjustment lever fastening.

5. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors from the steering column multifunction switches.

6. Disconnect 2 electrical connectors from the movable contact group.

7. Remove the steering column switch assembly. Remove the four Torx bolts.

8. Remove the instrument panel access panel. Release the two clips.

9. Remove the steering column side trim panel.
  • Release the clamps.
  • Repeat the above procedure on the other side.

10. Remove the steering column cover panel.


  • Remove 2 Torx screws.
  • Release the two clamps.

11. Remove the instrument panel.
  • Remove 2 Torx screws.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation


1. Install the instrument panel.
  • Connect the electrical connector.
  • Tighten the Torx screws.
2. Install the steering column cover panel.
  • Secure with clamps.
  • Tighten the Torx screws.

3. Install the steering column side trim panel.
  • Secure with a clamp.
  • Repeat the above procedure on the other side.
4. Install the instrument panel access panel. Secure with clamps.

5. Install the steering column switch assembly. Tighten the Torx bolts to 3 Nm.

6. Connect the electrical connectors of the sliding contact group and the multifunction switches of the steering column.

7. Install the steering column covers. Tighten the Torx screws.



8. Install the steering wheel. For more information, refer to Steering Wheel (57.61.01)

9. Using the T4 diagnostic tool, configure the new instrument cluster.
