Removal
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

CAUTION: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the panel that covers access to the radiator. Unscrew 4 bolts.

4. Remove the oil filter. Place a container to collect the liquid.

NOTE: Remember the installation position of the oil cooler assembly.
Remove the oil filter adapter. Remove the oil cooler from the top of the oil filter.

6. Clamp and then disconnect the coolant hoses from the oil cooler.

7. Remove the oil cooler.
Installation

NOTE: Before connecting the coolant hoses, fill the oil cooler with coolant to remove any air from it.
Install the parts back in place in reverse order.
- Tighten the adapter (tightening torque 60 Nm).
- Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil and tighten. (tightening torque 18 Nm).
- Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
3. Fill the cooling system with coolant and remove air from it.
