Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification

2. Remove the crankshaft pulley. For more information, refer to Crankshaft Pulley (12.21.01)

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or disassembling parts, make sure the area around the contact surfaces is clean and dry. To avoid contamination of the system, cover all open connections.

Using the special tool, remove the front crankshaft seal.

Installation

1. Using special tools, install the front crankshaft seal. Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.





2. Install the crankshaft pulley. For more information, refer to Crankshaft Pulley (12.21.01)
