Dismantling
1. Remove the lower engine guard.

2. Remove the battery tray.
ENGINE STARTING AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Support tray - battery.
3. Place a jack under the gearbox.

4. Remove the through bolt securing the gearbox bracket to the left support.
5. Lower the box so that it moves away from the support.

6. Unscrew the 4 bolts securing the left support bracket to the gearbox and remove the bracket.

7. Using the LRT-37-050 tool, disconnect the gear selector rod from the gear selector shaft.

8. Using the LRT-37-049 puller, carefully remove the cylindrical pin connecting the gear selector lever to the rod.
9. Remove the lever from the rod.

10. Remove and discard the 5 gear selector mechanism cover mounting bolts and remove the cover.
11. Remove the seal from the cover and discard it.
Installation
1. Wash the oil seal seat in the selector mechanism cover, the mating surfaces of the cover and the gearbox.

2. Using the LRT-37-046 mandrel, press the new seal into the cover.
3. Lubricate the moving parts on the cover with clean transmission oil.

4. Apply a 1mm thick bead of STC 4600 sealant to the gear selector cover at the locations shown in the figure.
5. Place the cover on the gear selector shaft, screw in new bolts, tighten them evenly and gradually to a torque of 25 Nm.
6. Place the lever on the gear selection rod, insert a nylon spacer into the groove of the lever and align the holes for the cylindrical pin.
7. Install the LRT-37-049 mandrel, press the new pin into the gear selection rod and remove the mandrel. Check the operation of the gear selection mechanism.
8. Install the bracket on the gearbox, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 85 Nm.
9. Insert the through bolt of the gearbox bracket into the support on the body and tighten the bolt to a torque of 100 Nm.
10. Replace the battery tray.

11. Reinstall the lower engine guard.
