1.
CAUTION: Any leak detection aerosol used must contain a corrosion inhibitor and will not harm paint, plastic or metal surfaces.
NOTE: It is recommended to use GOTEC LDS Leak Detection Aerosol, Landrover Part # STC 1090.
The recommended leak detection spray should be used to locate suspected leaks. This procedure should also be performed if air suspension components have been disturbed.
2. Clean the area around the suspected leak.
3. Systematically apply the contents of the recommended leak detection aerosol to all air suspension components until the source of the leak is located.

4. If a leak is detected in any of the air suspension components - the air element, compressor, receiver or valve block - the only type of repair can be replacement of the corresponding unit.
5. Use T4 to release pressure from the air suspension. Releasing and raising pressure in the air suspension system (60.50.38)
6.
CAUTION: Different air lines of the air suspension system have different material properties and different wall thicknesses. To avoid air line failures in the future, make sure that new air lines are made of the same material and have the same wall thickness as the old ones.
CAUTION: Replacement air hose must be cut to the correct length from a new hose that has the same Land Rover part number as the hose being replaced. Do not use hose cut from a roll or spool.
CAUTION: During repair, all existing heat shrink and wear bushings must be replaced.
CAUTION: Air line connections must be located away from heat sources such as the exhaust system and away from air line sections with heat shields installed on them.
CAUTION: Do not trim the ends of the air line. If the end of the air line is damaged, the air line must be cut and a new section added using a Land Rover approved air line connector or the entire air line must be replaced.
NOTE: Cutting of air lines is permitted only with the help of hose cutter 204-494 (LRT 60-002), which can be ordered through SPX LTD, or using the YA1000A Hose Cutter, which can be ordered through Snap-On Tools. Make sure the end of the air line where you want to cut it is free of damage and nicks.
NOTE: Only Land Rover air lines have been tested to meet the required pressure and temperature requirements.
NOTE: Only Land Rover approved air line connector RYC500210 has been tested to meet the required pressure and temperature requirements.
NOTE: If marks are erased or tape is removed near the connector when cutting the air lines, the cut end of the air line must be clearly marked with colored tape or paint.
If the leak is at the connector, replace the Voss nipple and, if necessary, the air line end. Using the special tool, cut off the damaged end of the air line and replace it with a Land Rover approved air line and connectors.

7. If the leak is occurring through one section of the air line, replace the air line or, if necessary, using a special tool, cut off the damaged end of the air line and replace it with a Land Rover approved air line and fittings.
8.
NOTE: If the repair does not produce the desired result, repeat the above steps until the leak is eliminated.
Use T4 to increase the pressure in the air suspension. Releasing and increasing the pressure in the air suspension system (60.50.38)
