The high-pressure fuel pump supplies fuel to the common rail fuel system and is mounted at the rear of the cylinder block between the V-shaped cylinders. The pump is a radial three-piston type and is driven by a belt from the exhaust camshaft of the left cylinder head under the control of the EMS system.
