Removal



1. Disconnect the battery.

Candle No. 1 (for models with air conditioning).

2. Remove the belt from the air conditioning compressor pulley.

3. Unscrew the 4 compressor mounting bolts and move the compressor to the side.

4. Unscrew the Hummel valve bolt and remove the valve. Remove the sealing ring from the valve.

5. Unscrew the nut securing the wire to the spark plug and remove the wire.



6. Remove the glow plug.

7. Clean the spark plug seat in the head.

8. Apply anti-seize compound to the spark plug threads (temperature above 1000°C).

9. Tighten the spark plug to a torque of 23 Nm.

10. Connect the wire.

Note: Do not forget to install the supply wire on the spark plug of the 4th cylinder.


11. Spark plug No. 3: install a new sealing ring on the Hummel valve, lubricate the ring with engine oil. Install the valve and tighten the mounting bolt to 15 Nm.

12. Reinstall the removed parts.
