The spring shock absorber module includes the shock absorber, spring and upper support.
Shock absorber
The shock absorber assembly has the same twin-tube design as the front suspension shock absorber. The shock absorber spring seat is attached to the shock absorber body. The lower end of the shock absorber has a bushing that is attached to the lower control arm with a bolt and a self-locking nut. The damping capacity of the shock absorber is determined by limiting the flow of working fluid through the internal channels of the shock absorber.
The movement of the rod along the shock absorber axis is limited by the flow of liquid through the channels. This ensures the damping of vibrations that occur when the car is moving on an uneven road. At the point where the shock absorber rod exits the shock absorber body, a seal is installed that does not allow liquid to leak out of the shock absorber and prevents dirt and moisture from penetrating into the shock absorber. In addition, this seal contains a rod cleaner.
The shock absorber rod passes through the central hole of the upper support. The outer end of the rod has a thread. A self-locking nut is screwed onto it, securing the upper support to the shock absorber rod.
The auxiliary device of the elastic element is installed on the shock absorber rod. It prevents the upper support from contacting the upper part of the shock absorber when the suspension is fully compressed, and also helps to adjust the suspension.
Spring and upper support
The spring installed depends on the vehicle specification. Each spring is color coded to indicate its rating and installation conditions.

The spring is located in the spring seat, which is an integral part of the shock absorber body. The design of the spring seat does not allow the spring to rotate. The opposite end of the spring is in the spring insulator, which is installed in the upper support. The spring insulator is made of rubber and prevents the transmission of noise to the car body that occurs when the shock absorber and spring are stretched/compressed. Three types of spring insulators are manufactured for different vehicle specifications.
The upper support is equipped with a bushing and an elastic washer, which are installed between the upper support plate and the shock absorber rod. The upper support is secured to the shock absorber rod with a self-locking nut. The upper support is attached to the body on the vehicle chassis with three built-in studs and self-locking nuts.
The spring is equipped with elastic bushings that are located between the spring isolator and the upper support. The elastic bushings control the length of the spring, maintaining the correct height of the lining. The elastic bushings are color coded and are supplied with a spare spring.
