Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Remove the top part of the timing belt cover.
ENGINE - MODIFICATION K, volume 1.8, Front oil seal of the exhaust camshaft, Upper timing cover.
3. Remove the lower engine protection.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Engine lower shield.
4. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
ENGINE - MODIFICATION K, volume 1.8, Front exhaust camshaft oil seal, Crankshaft pulley.
5. While holding the accessory drive belt tensioner, remove the pin and release the tensioner until it turns fully counterclockwise.
6. Turn away 3 bolts of fastening of the bottom part of a cover of a timing belt to the block of cylinders and remove a cover.
Installation
1. Wipe the bottom of the front timing belt cover.
2. Install the cover, making sure the rubber seal is in the correct position.
3. Screw in the bolts securing the lower part of the timing belt cover and tighten them to a torque of 9 Nm.
4. Turn the accessory belt tensioner fully clockwise. Insert the pin into the back plate while holding the tensioner in this position.
5. Install the crankshaft pulley.
ENGINE - MODIFICATION K, volume 1.8, Front exhaust camshaft oil seal, Crankshaft pulley.
6. Reinstall the lower motor guard.

7. Install the upper front timing belt cover.
ENGINE - MODIFICATION K, volume 1.8, Front oil seal of the exhaust camshaft, Upper timing cover.
8. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
