Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the upper engine mount bracket.
ENGINE KV6 - MODIFICATION K, Left cylinder head camshafts, Right engine support bracket assembly.

3. Loosen the power steering pump drive pulley mounting bolts.

4. Use the 3/8-inch head to lift the tension roller and remove the drive belt from the alternator pulleys and power steering pump drive.
5. Install a container to collect the power steering fluid (PAS).

6. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the inlet hose from the power steering pump.
7. Unscrew the hollow bolt securing the outlet hose to the pump. Disconnect the hose, remove and discard the sealing washers.
CAUTION: To avoid damaging components, loosen and tighten the fittings while holding the nipple with a second wrench.
8. Loosen the bolt securing the exhaust pipe support bracket to the cylinder head and move the pipe to the side.

9. Unscrew the 3 bolts securing the power steering pump drive pulley to the power steering pump and remove the pulley.
CAUTION: Always plug the fittings and holes to protect the system from dirt.

10. Unscrew the 3 bolts securing the power steering pump to the support bracket.
11. Remove the power steering pump.
Installation
1. Attach the power steering pump to the support bracket.
2. Tighten the power steering pump mounting bolts to the support bracket and tighten them to 25 Nm.
3. Install the pump drive pulley onto the power steering pump and tighten the bolts by hand.
4. Remove the plug from the outlet hose.
5. Clean the hollow bolt and its seating surfaces.
6. Using new sealing washers, connect the outlet hose to the power steering pump, install the hollow bolt and tighten it to 20 Nm.
CAUTION: To avoid damaging components, loosen and tighten the fittings while holding the nipple with a second wrench.
7. Replace the pipe clamp. Screw in the bolt and tighten it to 22 Nm.
8. Clean any dirt from the place where the inlet hose is attached to the power steering pump.
9. Remove the plug from the inlet hose, put a new clamp on it and connect the hose to the pump.
10. Remove the container for collecting the working fluid.
11. Clean the pulley groove and the tension roller raceway from dirt.
12. Use the 3/8-inch square head to lift the tension roller and slide the drive belt over the pulleys.
13. Tighten the power steering pump drive pulley mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.
14. Install the upper engine mount bracket.

15. Connect the negative battery terminal.
16. Bleed the power steering system.
