Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Turn away a bolt of fastening of a casing of the fuel filter to an arm.
WARNING: Fuel vapors are highly flammable and in an enclosed area are also toxic and explosive. When working with fuel, it is necessary to have a foam type, carbon dioxide fire extinguisher at hand (CO2), gas or powder.
3. Lift and tilt the filter housing away from the bracket.
4. Disconnect the connector from the fuel filter head.
5. Place a fuel soaking cloth under the fuel filter.
6. Mark the location of the fuel hoses, press the connector tabs and disconnect both hoses from the filter head.
CAUTION: Always plug fittings and openings to keep dirt out of the system.
7. Remove the fuel filter.
8. Hold the filter housing and unscrew its head.
Installation
1. Wipe down the fuel pump and mating surfaces.
2. Lubricate the O-ring of the new filter with clean oil.
3. Fit the filter onto the filter head, screw it on until the seal touches the filter head and tighten it an additional half turn.
4. Insert the filter into the casing.
5. Attach the fuel hoses to the filter head, making sure they are in the correct position.
6. Connect the connector to the filter head.
7. Fix a casing of the fuel filter fastening bolts.
8. Remove the rags laid out earlier.
9. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
