Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Remove the lower engine protection.
EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORKS, Engine lower shield.
3. Remove the right front wheel.
4. Turn away 3 bolts of fastening of the right dirt-protective panel and remove the panel.
5. Place a container under the oil filter to collect the escaping oil.
6. Loosen and discard the oil filter using a loop handle.
7. Turn away 4 nuts of fastening of the heat exchanger of cooling of oil to an arm and take away the heat exchanger aside.
8. Turn out a stopper of the reducing valve.
NOTE: If a hex with a sealing washer is used as the plug, the washer must be discarded.
9. Remove the spring with the pressure reducing valve.
Installation
1. Wash the valve, spring and plug, remove the remnants of the old sealant from the threaded socket of the plug and from the thread of the plug itself.
WARNING: Tap (for thread cleaning) use is prohibited.
2. Clean the valve seat in the oil pump housing.
3. Check the valve for freedom of movement in the port and ensure that the valve body is free of burrs and corrosion.
NOTE: Corrosion can be removed with #600 sanding paper dampened with engine oil.
4. Measure the free length of the spring.

5. Apply STC 50552 sealant to the threaded portion of the plug.
NOTE: If a hex with a sealing washer is used as the plug, a new washer must be installed.
6. Insert the valve, valve spring into the oil pump housing and screw in the plug. Tighten the plug to 25 Nm.
7. Fill the filter with clean engine oil.
8. Lubricate the O-ring of the new oil filter and screw on the filter.
9. Install the engine oil cooling heat exchanger on the bracket, screw in the bolts and tighten them to a torque of 25 Nm.
10. Remove the oil container from under the engine.
11. Install the mudguard panel and secure it with bolts.
12. Reinstall the right wheel and tighten the nuts to 115 Nm.
13. Reinstall the lower engine guard.

14. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
15. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
