General instructions
1. Assembly and disassembly of the mechanism must be carried out in absolute cleanliness.
2. If metal dust is detected in the power steering fluid, determine the cause of the defect and eliminate the defect.
3. Do not start the engine with an empty power steering system, this may damage the power steering pump.
4. Always replace rubber seals with new ones.
Note: When the tie rod is disconnected, the number of turns of the steering wheel from center to lock may not be the same.
Removal
1. Place the vehicle on a horizontal surface.
2. Open the hood.
3. Remove the power steering pump reservoir cap.
4. Wash the steering gear housing.
5. Disconnect the supply and return hoses from the steering gear.

6. Plug the hoses and fittings.
7. Place the vehicle on stands under the front axle or lift it on a lift.
8. Remove the engine protection.
9. Disconnect the steering rod from the steering knuckle.

10. Loosen the lower steering shaft cardan joint bolt.
11. Loosen, but do not remove, the steering gear torque rod mounting nut.

12. Loosen the torque rod mounting bolts and move it to the side.

13. Unscrew the bolts securing the steering gear to the frame.

14. Remove the steering gear.
Installation
15. Install the steering gear on the frame. Check that the housing projections fit into the frame grooves. Tighten the mounting bolts to 81 Nm.
16. Connect the steering shaft. Tighten the universal joint mounting bolt to 25 Nm.
17. Install the reaction rod, tighten the bolts and mounting nut to a torque of 81 Nm (first the nut). Loosen the bolts and nut one turn.
18. Check and adjust the steering gear if necessary.
19. Install the longitudinal steering rod, Tightening torque 40 Nm.
20. Install engine protection.
21. Lower the car onto its wheels.
22. Connect the hoses from the steering gear.
23. Fill the pump tank with the recommended fluid and bleed the system.
24. Roll the car in a straight line.
25. Tighten the reaction rod nut to a torque of 110 Nm.
26. Tighten the reaction rod bolts to 81 Nm.
27. Conduct a road test.
